Explore the Port Rexton area by fat bike! The roads and trails are ideal for a biking adventure.

Our fleet of Moose FB 1 fat bikes will roll over just about anything. The sizing, gear ranges, and adjustable seats make the bikes comfortable for beginners and experts alike. Half day, full day, and group rentals are available. We also offer multi-day rentals by request. Helmets are included with rentals. If you can ride a bicycle you can ride a fat bike!

Half Day Rental

$40 / up to 3 hours
  • S, M, or L fat bike, helmet, bike drop-off/pick up service.

Full Day Rental

$60/ up to 6 hours
  • S, M, or L fat bike, helmet, bike drop-off/pick up service.

Guided Rides

$25/ pp + HST
  • 10km or 20km group tours available starting at $25 per person + HST

Things to See

Fat bike riders will enjoy the fields, trees, ocean, rocky beaches, and natural beauty of the Port Rexton area. Riders have seen eagles, osprey, loons, seals, sea otters, whales, and foxes!

Ride to the beach on the Skerwink Trail for a picnic, on the old rail bed in Port Rexton and Trinity East, to the Champney’s West Aquarium, or anywhere you choose! Drop by the Port Rexton Brewing Co. Taproom or Two Whales Coffee Shop. Just be sure to give walkers and hikers the right of way and be respectful of private property.

A Place to Stay

Beautifully restored 100+ year old traditional Newfoundland home on nearly 10 acres. The property has trees, rocks, fields, rugged shoreline, breathtaking views of Trinity Bay, and no neighbours. We are the new owners of the property and we just did some renovations including a new deck with glass railing, fresh paint, new kitchen, new appliances, and updated porch and front bedroom.

This cozy and comfortable three bedroom, two bathroom vacation home has hand-crafted furniture, inviting beds with fluffy duvets, and modern conveniences. With the woodstove crackling, this really is the perfect peaceful getaway in Port Rexton.

Your fat bike(s) will be dropped off to you at the Skerwink Trail kiosk in Port Rexton. When you’re done, we’ll meet you there to pick up your fat bike(s). We can also make special arrangements to drop-off/pick-up at your inn or vacation rental.

Riders will likely want a small knapsack, sunscreen, camera, extra clothing, and snacks. Sneakers, hiking, boots, or close-toed sandals are good footwear.

Bikes and helmets are cleaned thoroughly between rentals. All provincial COVID-19 compliance measures are followed at all times.

What comes with a fat bike rental?2021-08-02T16:15:54+00:00

A small, medium, or large Moose FB1 fat bike, adjustable helmet, a free water bottle, and pick-up/drop-off service. We’ll also ask riders to sign a rental agreement and waiver.

No minimum age, riders just need to be at least 4’10” tall and be able to ride a bike. We plan to have youth fat bikes in 2022.
